Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and maintain heat pump systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Ensure that installations are completed to a high standard of quality and safety, in line with all industry regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing heat pump systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering clear advice and answering any questions clients may have.
- Maintain accurate documentation for each installation and service job.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.
About You: We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in installing heat pump systems (experience with both residential and commercial installations is a plus).
- Holds relevant trade qualifications (e.g., Electrical, Refrigeration, or HVAC certifications).
- Has a good understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as environmental standards related to heat pumps and HVAC systems.
- Is proactive, reliable, and has excellent attention to detail.
- Can work independently, but also thrives in a team environment.
- Has a clean driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Has good communication skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for new builds and renovation projects in light commercial and residential settings.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, architectural plans and specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, in compliance with relevant safety regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with project managers, builders, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including testing and commissioning reports.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Supervise & Train apprentices
Skills and Experience Required:
- Fully qualified Electrician with a current NZ practicing license.
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical work, with a strong focus on new construction and refurbishment projects.
- Experience in light commercial and residential projects is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, technical drawings and electrical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations in New Zealand.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Great communication and teamwork skills.
- Full clean NZ driver’s license.

Skilled Security Integrator

Job Overview:
As a Security Systems Installer at Powerex, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems including CCTV cameras, alarms, access control systems, and other related technologies. Your role will involve working directly with clients to ensure their security needs are met with precision and care. Ideally, you will also have experience with electrical work and be comfortable handling both the technical and customer-facing aspects of this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and test security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
- Provide system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as required.
- Work closely with customers to understand their security requirements and offer tailored solutions.
- Ensure installations comply with all local electrical codes and safety standards.
- Provide training to customers on the operation of their security systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Assist with the design and layout of security systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a security systems installer or in a similar role.
- Electrical background or qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Experience with CCTV, alarm systems, access control, & related security technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, construction drawings, and schematics.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid full NZ driver’s license and reliable transportation.
