EO Mini Pro 2 – with Power Balancing
We highly recommend adding this power balancing accessory, this will allow your charger to ramp up and down as per the limitations of your power supply – removing the threat of overloading

The EO Mini Pro 2 with power balancing has all of the features of the EO Mini Pro 2 with the added benefit of being able to monitor your household power usage and ramp your charging up and down as required so you get maximum charging capacity without the risk of overloading your household capacity
How does it work?
The EO Mini Pro 2 offers power balancing at home with an additional CT clamp. It can read the incoming feed to the building, take into account the building energy usage and calculate a final amount of power that is then distributed to the charger.
EO’s latest home charger reads the incoming power feed every second and reduces the power output when other home appliances, such as a water heater, are turned on. Once the water heater is turned off, the charger will automatically read the available power and increase the power output to the maximum available level.

How does it work?
The EO Mini Pro 2 reads the power being generated by your solar panels and sets its charging rate to match the output of the solar array. You can set this charging window during the day to top up your vehicle from the sun.
Using the EO Smart Home app, you can set when your vehicle will charge according to the output of your solar array. Here’s how it works:
1) Your vehicle will charge at the same rate as the output of the solar array.
2) If the solar output drops below the specified minimum rate (e.g. sun goes behind a cloud) then the vehicle will charge at the minimum rate. It is not safe for a vehicle to repeatedly stop and start charging and so the minimum rate will always guarantee the charging rate.
3) The Recommended minimum rate is 6A.

Charging leads
Fast chargers and public (often free) chargers all require a charging lead that is “Type 2”. Depending on the age and model of your car will determine which of the below leads you will need
Type 2 to Type 1 adapter Charge converter cable
EV Charging cord Type 2 to Type 1 cable so you can charge your type 1 electric vehicle such as generation 1 Nissan Leaf at a charging station with a type 2 Socket.
The majority of New Zealand public points use Type 2 (also called Mennenkes) connection.
So this adapter will convert the Type 2 (Mennenkes) free charging station to the Nissan Leaf Type 1 (J1772) style so you can make use of free charging.
The car charging cable is flexible even in low temperatures. The 32A rating allows you to charge at around 30km of charge per hour.
